Omega 3 Bars

Fancy giving these Omega 3 rich bars a go? Because they are so good, you won't regret it. These are a little different to your average bar, these are full of fresh nutritious ingredients, but still won't cost you too much!

The fact they're pink means they're even nicer!

Give or take a couple of ingredients, you can pick whatever you've got in your cupboard, or whatever takes your pick on the shop shelf! I always like to make sure I have a bag of mixed nuts, almonds, desiccated coconut, dried fruit & mixed seeds. The beauty of these ingredients is the fact they last ages, so you can just grab and use as and when it suits you!

Ingredients (Makes 12)


Base Layer:

175g oats

3 Bananas

115g Beetroot

25g desiccated Coconut

1Scoop of vanilla whey protein


Top Layer:

50g oats

40g Mixed nuts

70g dried cranberries

25g seed, berry & goji mix

Drizzle of honey

Splash of Almond milk


Method: Preheat the oven to 180 Degrees. Blend all the base ingredients together and spread in a grease proof paper lined baking tin. Bake in the oven for 10 mins. For the top layer, mix everything together in a bowl and spread evenly across the top. Cook for a further 15 minutes until the top begins to golden and crisp.
